Mrs. María is a member of the Barrio Sucre communal bank. She lives in the Cumbe parish. This sector has a cold climate and a beautiful view of nature. Its people are kind, charismatic, and maintain the traditions and culture of their parents. They work in agriculture and raise animals. A lot of the population has moved away or travel to the city every day to work various jobs.

Mrs. Maria is 57, married, and has 9 children from this union. Three of these children are married and independent, four work and help out economically, one is in university and one attends a school in the city. Her husband works as a private employee. They live in the home of one of her daughters.

Maria sells food in a market in the city. She works without a fixed schedule 4 days a week and has had this business for 21 years. In her home, she raises guinea pigs and hens for her consumption and for sale.

She will invest the money from this loan in the purchase of guinea pigs and pigs. This is her second loan in the communal bank.
