A loan of $550 helped to buy pigs.

Leonor Patricia's story

Leonor belongs to the Barrio Sucre village bank and lives in the Cumbe parish. The climate there is cold and they have a great view of nature. The people are friendly, full of charisma, and they maintain their parents' culture and traditions. They farm and raise animals. Many of them have migrated or go to the city on a daily basis for various kinds of work. Leonor is twenty-nine, single, and lives with her mother, who farms and raises cattle. They live in her mother's house. Leonor works in her sister's restaurant four days a week. At home she also raises chickens and pigs. This will be her seventh loan with the village bank and she plans to buy pigs. Her goal is to have her own business, like a store, or perhaps something different.
