A loan helped to buy cattle.

Miriam Lizeth's story

Miriam Lizeth is 35 years old and a single mother of two daughters. She lives with them in the El Centro neighborhood in the town of Patuca. Miriam buys and sells cattle and her daughters go to school. Miriam started this cattle activity several years ago but she didn't do it alone, buy with other people who would contribute money to buy the cattle. Later she decided to go it on her own and she would buy cattle one by one until she had a good herd of cattle and was even able to buy her own truck to transport the cattle to be sold. She is asking for the loan to buy several cows and a bull. With the support of this loan, she hopes to obtain better earnings and keep supporting her daughters with their schooling and daily expenses. Miriam has been in FAMA for three cycles and has made her payments on time. Her goal is to be one of the best cattle ranchers in the area and in a few years have her own meat processing plant.
