A loan of $2,325 helped a member to buy animal feed.

Pomamaya Group's story

The “Pomamaya” communal bank will start its first cycle with Pro Mujer as part of the Panamericana Focal Center. It has 8 members led by a governing board headed by Felisa. The members of the communal bank carry out a variety of business activities such as: commerce, services and business.

Felisa indicates that this is the first time they’ve worked with Pro Mujer and that she joined the institution thanks to an invitation from a promoter in the area. At present, she has a business selling milk that she learned from her parents.

The loan she requests is to buy feed for her animals because with their development she negotiates the milk sales with firms. This way of working allows her to generate income to support her family because she’s married and has ten children.

In this group: Feliza, Virgenia, Paulina, Catalina, Hortencia , Jhovana Felisa, Maria Silvia , Yuma Viviana
