Lawrence's story

Lawrence is a 35-year-old man. He is married and has three children aged between nine and two years old to whom they hope to give a good education to university level. He runs a general store at Kimongo in Kitengela in which he sells such items as plates, cups and thermos flasks. He has been running this business for three years now and has managed to give employment to one person.

Lawrence says that the business is profitable and the major challenge he has is financial constraints. He however works hard from early morning to late evening to ensure that his business is doing well. He is using his loan of KES 24,500 to buy more household items to grow his business to wholesale and to meet the demands of his customers. He describes himself as a visionary person.
