A loan of $1,200 helped to buy chicken and meat wholesale.

Dora De Los Angeles's story

Dora, a native of León, is married and the mother of 4 children. She studied accounting but is the owner of a general store. She started this business 25 years ago when she established the store beside her second business. Previously she had a soda stand where she sold wholesale and her husband ran the business and handled the finances while she worked for an agricultural company. She worked in the accounting department but they let her go. She used the severance pay to open the general store where she currently sells various products such as basic grains, milk, eggs, vegetables and canned juices.

She needs the loan to buy chicken and meat wholesale since these products have a big demand from her customers and generate good earnings. In her future plans she wants to buy a vehicle to deliver her products, fuel that she will sell to homes, and these will give her more inventory rotation. Later she would like to convert her general store into a food distribution center.
