A loan of $4,250 helped a member to stock up on sugar, tea, and soap to resell.

Ktim Group's story

The group KITIM was created on April 22, 2007 when their Banc Villageois was inaugurated. The group comprises 22 women who all live in the same village. They all have small businesses.

Ms. Baldé is the group's official. She is 47 years old, married, and the mother of five children. She supports her sister-in-law.

Ms. Baldé sells sugar, tea, soap, and a variety of other typical consumer items. She has been in this business for over six years. In the past, she used to grow crops.

Her loan is going to enable her to do better supplying herself with sugar, tea, and soap to resell. She will use the profits in part to increase her savings and to support her husband in covering family expenses.
