Djamadjigui Group's story

The Djamadjigui solidarity group was created on June 20, 2009, when its Banc Villageois was opened. It consists of 22 women from the same neighborhood who mainly conduct small trade.

The president of the group is standing on the far right-hand side of the photo and raises her hand. She is 57 years old, married and the mother of six children. She sells fruit, such as mangoes, bananas and oranges. After some ten years in this activity she has a lot of experience. She will use her loan to buy mangoes, bananas and oranges for resale. She intends to spend the profit from her activity on household expenditures.
