Maria Jose's story

María, age 32, is from Chichigalpa, a municipality in Chinandega. However, she lives in León. She has two children, and she is a merchant. She has a kiosk where she has been selling food for five years. Her first business was selling clothes when she was 18 years old. After that she decided to set up a business selling food and drinks on the main street close to her neighborhood. Her husband helps her take care of the business. She needs the loan to make repairs to her place of business. This will give her business a better appearance, and she will sell more food. In the future she plans to set up a general merchandise store and to continue improving her food sales business.
