A loan of $750 helped to buy sacks of fertilizer.

Cliber's story

Cliber is 39 years old. He is a single, hardworking man who lives with his mother Clara and father Magno. He protects and takes care of them in his own house located in the community of Unión Palomar (central Peruvian jungle). As a farmer, he has a lot of projects. His greatest wish is to improve the quality of his crops with plans for exportation. His specialty is productive projects. He demonstrates this with his coffee crops, where he applies all of his knowledge. He relates that, in order to renew and improve his plantings, he needs an average of 8 thousand nuevos soles. He needs a little more to have even, good quality beans. That is why at every harvest he sells his beans to the cooperative of Alto Palomar where he is a member. He is looking for a better bean. In addition, he is planting plantains as an alternative crop, to ensure his income. Every two weeks he picks the ripe fruit to sell it. He has been doing this for 20 years, but states that before he didn't have the knowledge that he has now. That is why he is sure that he will attain his goal, buying more arable land. He belongs to the “Prestatarios de la Unión Palomar” [Borrowers of Union Palomar] community bank and this is his second loan with MFP. He hopes to have all of your support to attain his goals. He also promises to make his payments on time. If Cliber receives your support, he will invest the money he has asked for in buying various sacks of natural fertilizer to spread on his crops and coffee fields, which he plans on doing in a few months.
