A loan of $375 helped to buy supplies for her textile business.

Nancy's story

Nancy, 25, her husband and young daughter live with her parents. She learned to make beautiful hand-made textiles as a girl and now she operates a business making and selling them, an important source of income for her family. She works in the comfort of her own house, an advantage because she can look after her daughter while she works. There are times when she has to make dozens of pieces and there's so much work that she has to hire extra help. She always stocks up on the supplies--thread, for example, and various colors of yarn--she needs for the business. Her materials and her creativity are all she needs to support herself and reach her goals. She's especially busy this time of year and she wants to increase her working capital. A neighbor suggested that she apply to MFP for a loan and she decided to do it. She will use the loan to buy wool of various quality and colors so that she can offer her customers products at various price levels.
