Jessica's story

Jessica is a member of the communal bank "Las Aguerridas II" of the district of Tarapoto in the province and department of San Martin. She is married common-law, 32 years old and she has 3 children. Her daughters are 11 and 6 and they attend primary school. Her son is 3 months old. She started out with an initial fund of S/.300 nuevos soles used to start a business selling fruit juices in the mornings, traveling from door to door. She had to stop her business because she was at risk of losing her baby. She then decided to start selling basic consumer goods (grocery store products).

Her is very satisfied with the income that she earns through her sales. She has a roster of steady clients including passers-by in the region and family members, and it is all thanks to the good customer service and kind manner in which she receives them.

With this new loan in the amount of S/.2500 she plans on purchasing the products that sell the best to supply her business. She will purchase snacks, soft drinks, sacks of rice, sacks of sugar, boxes of milk, cooking oil, meats, vegetables, and other products.

Jessica is a hardworking woman whose dream is to have a well-stocked business. She is very thankful to the Manuela Ramos movement (Kiva Field Partner) for providing her the opportunity of improving her income.
