A loan of $750 helped to purchase clothing, plastic products and general items.

Anita's story

Anita belongs to “Las Aguerridas II” Community Bank in the district of Tarapoto, province and department of San Martin, Peru. She is 35 years old, married and has a 15-year-old daughter who is in high school. She has been around commerce all of her life and makes a living selling clothing for men, women and children to help support her household's finances. She started this activity with a lot of motivation and enthusiasm, providing payment plans to her steady customers, friends, relatives and neighbors. Currently she has increased her inventory and expanded her business by offering plastic items, pots and other products. With this loan, she plans to purchase more garments, such as skirts, blouses, pants, underwear, polos and shirts, as well as plastic buckets of different sizes, pastry trays, and pots of different sizes and brands. Anita is a fighter whose goal is to have her own home. She is very grateful to Kiva partner Movimiento Manuela Ramos for providing this opportunity to women like herself so they can realize their dreams.
