Johanna Elizabeth is 23 years old, single and living with her parents in Ventanas Canton, Los Ríos Province; she does not have any children.

The members of the “Nueva Esperanza” (New Hope) communal bank are located in the hamlet of Jesús del Gran Poder belonging to Ventanas Canton. They are short cycle corn, rice and pigeon pea farmers.

Johanna farms corn, rice and pigeon peas. She buys her supplies in Comercial Roca in Ventanas and sells at the Ventanas wholesale market.

She requests the loan to plant corn, rice and pigeon peas; to buy manure, fertilizer, herbicide, urea, organic manure and corn, pigeon pea and rice seeds to plant. Support from the loan will help her entire family to meet their needs. She faces challenges like infestations and plant diseases. Her dream is to have a house of her own and to finish her studies. She likes to travel and to watch television.
