Yrma's story

Señora Yrma belongs to the Communal Bank "Esmeralda", in the District of Tarapoto, which is in the Province and Department of San Martín. She is married, is 52 years old, and is the mother of two children. The oldest is 24, and he is studying Physical Education in higher education, and the younger one, aged 18, is studying computing and computer science.

Since she was very young, she has had a passion for business. She began by selling firewood outsiD. her home. She wasn't able to continue with this business because of the competition that existed in the area. This is why on her own initiative, and together with her husband, they decided to focus on the sale of groceries. They started a small store in their home, finding a very good clientele maD. up of neighbors and residents of the area. They saw the need to increase their everyday products for the household. Currently she can't count on her husband's help due to medical reasons.

With this loan of 2,500 New Soles, she will buy rice, sugar, oil, bottles of milk, cartons of milk, noodles, canned fish in a variety of brands, vegetables, fruit and toiletries to continue providing a better service to its customers and meeting their daily needs.

Yrma is a striving woman who feels very encouraged to continue working and to be able to fulfill her dreams of building rooms to rent out. She is very grateful to the Movimiento Manuela Ramos for helping women like her to have opportunities to develop in the field in which they operate.
