A loan of $1,200 helped a member to buy clothing and footwear for sale.

Patience Group's story

This is 71 year-old Margaret (center) from Gweru, the capital of Midlands province in Zimbabwe. She is widowed with five children and also cares for four dependents. Margaret runs a flea market business selling clothes and footwear. The business has been in operation for two years. She says the main challenges faced are shortage of working capital and clients who do not pay on time. Margaret has requested a loan of $400 to buy more clothing and footwear to sell. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her to pay her dependents' school fees. In the future Margaret plans to buy a business car.
