Katy Belen's story

Katy belongs to the "Sayhua 3" community bank in the district of Urubamba, department of Cusco, Peru. She is 23 years old, married and has a son. She makes a living selling toys as well as radios and watches at a sales post in the Urubamba market. She works from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m., and the businesses help her make headway for her son. Katy wants to expand her business selling toys and is requesting the loan to purchase items such as balls, puzzles and dolls, as well as buy watches and radios at wholesale. She feels happy about the loan and promises to make her payments on time.
