A loan of $1,250 helped a member to purchase livestock.

Kulmira's Group's story

Kulmira is the leader of this group. She is 48 and married to a farmer. Together with her husband she has raised a son and three daughters. The son works as a policeman, the older daughter is a teacher, the second daughter is a retailer and the youngest daughter studies at school.

In order to earn money to meet their daily needs, Kulmira, together with her husband, breeds livestock. They started this activity in 1994 and now their monthly profit from reselling livestock is 8000 soms. This profit made it possible for them to purchase a vehicle.

Kulmira wants to purchase four livestock animals for breeding, but she doesn’t have enough funds, thus she has applied for the loan. In the future she wants to see all her children get wed.
