A loan of $2,900 helped a member to buy clothing to resell.

Mujeres Sobresalientes Group's story

The present committee was formed thanks to the initiative of one of its members who contacted her neighbors and friends to form a committee in the zone. The committee is called “Mujeres Sobresalientes” (Outstanding Women) and it’s currently in its second cycle with 18 members. They all define themselves as hardworking, tenacious women seeking the wellbeing of their families.

Hilda is a very unassuming, responsible, honest and very tenacious woman. She’ married to Francisco who manufactures paving stones. They have four dependent children. Hilda has been selling clothes for many years now. She is very proud of what she does because it’s an honorable, proper job. Besides, through it she’s able to help her husband cover household expenses.

She is asking for the loan to buy seasonal clothes to meet customer demand. She is grateful to the Fundación for the opportunity it’s giving her because getting the loan will be of great help to her.
