A loan of $800 helped to buy pigs.

Marco Tulio's story

Marco Tulio is 53 years old and married. His wife devotes herself to the household chores, and sometimes she helps him in the field. He has eight children. Two of them are independent, and the other six live with them at home.

Ever since he was very young Marco worked as a day laborer. He does not earn much money, but he always puts aside a little to save. Marco had the idea that he could raise pigs. Every now and then he buys a pig and raises it until is it big enough to sell. Then, with the small earnings that are left, he buys another pig, raises it, sells it, and so on.

Marco is requesting this loan to buy 22 pigs and to set up a small farm on the patio of his house. That way he will be able to fully commit to raising pigs. His main advantage is that you can sell pigs for a good price even though it is hard work.

His biggest dream is to see his children graduate.

This is his third cycle with FAMA, and he has made his payments punctually.
