A loan of $550 helped to buy more animals and feed for them.

Juana's story

Juana, 34, lives with her husband and children in her own house which has electricity and water and is located in Mórrope District that belongs to Lambayeque Department. It’s a zone characterized by farming, cattle raising and tourism.

Juana has been raising barnyard fowl (chickens, turkeys and ducks) to sell for the last four years. Her corral is in her back yard. She feeds them nutritionally balanced feed and natural grains. When they reach optimum growth she can sell them to her customers and use income obtained to meet her personal expenses.

She has asked Edpyme Alternativa for a 1500 new sol loan to buy more animals and their respective feed and once they are fattened up she will sell them at the various markets in her area hoping to attract more customers to increase her income and have a better quality of life. Juana is a responsible, hardworking person whose only wish is that her business grows to continue helping her family to get ahead.
