A loan of $750 helped to buy more animals and their respective feed.

Maria Olinda's story

María is 23 years old. She lives with her husband and children in her own house. The house has electricty only and is located in the district of Mórrope in the department of Lambayeque. This area is dedicated to farming, livestock and tourism.

María has spent several years rearing and selling pigs. The pig pen is located at the back of her house. She feeds them a balanced diet and once they have reached their optimum size she puts them up for sale. The income earned pays for her household expenses.

She has asked Edpyme Alternativa for a loan of 2000 nuevos soles (PEN) to buy more animals and their respective feed. Once fattened, she will sell them at the different markets in her area, with the goal of obtaining a better price and a higher income to improve their quality of life. María is a very hard-working and responsible person who only wants for her family to get ahead.
