A loan of $875 helped to buy boxes of canned goods such as peeled tomatoes, fruit and vegetable salads, sweetcorn, and dried sausages.

Juliette's story

Forty-three years old and single with five children between the ages of seven and 24 who are all in school (two of whom are in college), this client is in her third loan cycle. She has successfully repaid her first two loans, and has saved a considerable amount. Her sales have increased greatly, and at present, her revenue is between 50,000 and 100,000 francs per day.

With this new loan, she will buy boxes of tomatoes, cans of fruit and vegetable salad, boxes of sweetcorn, dried sausages, and boxes of cassoulet [meat and bean stew].

She aims to open a food shop in place of her stall, since she cannot sell when it rains. It is for this reason that she has begun to use her earnings to buy sheet metal and cement, and why she has taken charge of her children's schooling.
