A loan of $550 helped to buy merchandise for his grocery.

Segundo Isidoro's story

Segundo is 62 years old and lives with his family in their own house. The house is equipped with all utilities and is located in the built-up area of the district of José Leonardo Ortiz in the province of Chiclayo. This area is characterized by commercial activity and public transportation.

For some ten years Segundo has been selling daily products: milk, rice, oil, sugar, toilet paper, tuna fish, pasta and soda. He has installed his business in a stall at the Moshoqueque market, where he serves his customers every day. He spends his profit from the sales on household and family expenditures.

In order to bolster his business, he came to the microfinance institution Edpyme Alternativa and applied for a loan of 1500 new soles to buy more goods, with the sole aim to see his business growing with more goods to offer to his customers, enabling him to pay the loan installments and household expenditures. Segundo is responsible, dedicated and hard-working. He is concerned with the comfort of his family because it deserves it.
