Saidat's story

Saidat lives in Kampala, Uganda. She is married with four children and all go to school. She has no additional family members to support.

Saidat is a tailor. She sells her clothes on a wholesale basis in a shop. She has been in business for many years. Saidat works seven days a week. She has no other additional source of income. She has requested a loan of 1,500,000 from MCDT SACCO to buy more rolls of clothing materials. Her major challenges are transportation and seasonality.

Her aspiration is to build her own shop where her customers can find her to buy clothes. She lives in a rented house and has access to piped water and electricity. Her monthly expenses include power, food, and school fees.
