Sokunthea, 41 years old, sells fish, while her husband grows potatoes. Together their income is $13 a day. The couple has four children, all of whom are studying. Every month Sokunthea has to spend $99 on food, $5 on electricity, $104 on school fees, and $10 on other expenses.

In the past Sokunthea’s husband was a construction worker, but he has left this business because he is getting too old to carry heavy materials anymore. So Sokunthea is requesting a loan of 1200 USD to rent a plot of land for farming more potatoes.

In the future, Sokunthea wants to get a stall in the market where she can sell more fish. She also wants her children to graduate from the university.
