A loan of $600 helped to purchase health products, including biotherapies, and natural and aromatherapy treatments for hair, body, and feet.

Diana's story

Diana is 29 years old and she lives in the city's southwest with her common-law husband and their two children, aged 7 and 8. She sells health products, a business she started out in 2010 with the help of a loan granted to her by a promoter of these products. She completes her sales on credit, with two bi-weekly payments. Her first clients were her friends and family but gradually her clients have increased for the referrals that have been made. Her goal in the future is to have a specialized store featuring these products, operating from her own home. But she faces a great challenge and that is insufficient capital funds to achieve her goal. This is the reason why she requests a Kiva loan. It is the first loan she accesses through Fundacion Mario Santo Domingo (Kiva Field Partner) and it will help her stimulate growth. With this loan she will purchase health products, including biotherapies, and natural and aromatherapy treatments for hair, body, and feet. These products are very well accepted by her clientele, especially having observed benefits from their experience. As Diana works and expends her efforts she strives to achieve her dream of expanding her business. She maintains a profit margin of no less than 20.59% and an inventory rotation of 9 days.
