A loan of $450 helped to buy palm oil and dried fish for resale.

Tabara's story

Madame Tabara is a small-scale retailer of 32 who lives in Sénégal. She sells palm oil and dried fish. This is a business that does very well throughout the year. This is a lady who chose her business out of necessity. She has been a member of one of the U-IMCEC branches for two years.

She is borrowing 200,000 francs with the intention of financing her trip upcountry to a weekly market where retailers stock up on local products. This loan will allow her to expand her stock, increase her profit, and support herself from day to day and help her parents to cover their family expenses.
