Ghislain's story

This client is 35 years old, married and the father of three children who vary in age from five to 12 years old. Having begun to sell nets of onions in 2005, The client is on his third loan with Hope Congo. He reimbursed the first two without difficulty and has put aside considerable savings.

He buys his goods in Kinshasa two times a week. He wants to expand his stock by buying net bags of onions that he sells wholesale and retail. His sales amount to between 30,000 and 60,000 francs a day. His customers are market vendors, restaurant owners, and housewives.

With this new loan, he is going to expand his stock by buying 15 net sacks of 25 kilos of onions, and each week, he will go over to Kinshasa to stock up.

Very ambitious, he intends to be a wholesaler of foodstuffs such as maize, onions, peanuts. With his profit, he is saving to buy a truck which will permit him to travel from village to village to buy his merchandise.
