A loan of $450 helped to buy fertilizer for her farm and feed for her animals.

Vicente's story

Vicente, 20, lives with his parents. The house where he lives lacks basic services. It's located in Tambogrande, a district in the Peruvian "departamento" of Piura. The local people make their living from farming, raising livestock and making and selling traditional crafts.

Vicente is a farmer. He grows maize on land that he owns. He sells what he grows at various markets in the area and uses the income to support himself. He also raises and sells goats and pigs, another source of revenue for him.

Vicente is applying to Edpyme Alternativa for a 1200 new soles loan, partly for buying fertilizer for preparing his land for the next planting and partly for animal feed. His goal is to improve his quality of life by generating more revenue from his businesses. Vicente is working hard to make sure his next crop is a good one. He wants to continue helping his parents with the family's daily expenses.
