A loan of $375 helped to buy balanced food to raise his animals.

Marco Antonio's story

Marco, age 33, lives with his wife and children in his own house. The house does not have the basic services. It is located in the rural zone of the Tambogrande district in the Piura department. The zone is known for farming, livestock, and handicrafts. Marco has been selling animals like pigs, sheep, and poultry for three years. He raises them in corrals that he has behind his house. He feeds them balanced feed, grains, and natural fodder. Once they have acquired their ideal growth he sells them to his customers or at different markets in the area. With the income he will be able to cover the family’s necessities and expenses. He has requested a loan for 1,000 soles from Edpyme Alternativa in order to buy balanced feed. Once he fattens the animals he sells them to his customers. With the income he gets he will pay for the loan and improve his family’s standard of living. With a lot of work and effort Marco tries to get ahead in order to continue helping his family financially and giving his children better opportunities in life.
