A loan of $750 helped to buy charcoal, bananas, and more fuel for her business.

Merdeces's story

Mercedes, age 59, is married. She lives in her own house with her husband and her two granddaughters, ages 12 and 17. She gives them an education, and she tries to give them a better quality of life.

Mercedes works selling charcoal, bananas, and carbonated drinks. In addition to this she has started a different business activity with her children. She is sending fuel to a mining zone, and her son sells it to people looking for artisanal gold. She has been doing this work for one year.

She likes this work because she is able to sell some things at home while her son is also producing money. Mercedes has realized that it is very profitable. This is the third time she has sent fuel, and the two previous times everything turned out very well. She hopes to be able to buy many more products to continue stocking her son. This way they can continue growing.

This is the fourth loan between Mercedes and MFP. So far everything is going well for her, and she hopes to be able to continue working this way. She likes her group because everyone gets along well.

She will use the requested 2,000 soles to buy charcoal, bananas, and more fuel to be able to send to her son.
