A loan of $675 helped to purchase groceries to restock her store.

Domitila's story

Domitila is 56 years old, studied through high school, is single, and has a 19 year old son in high school.

She tells us that more than six years ago, she started to sell soft drinks in her home to earn a little extra money to get her family ahead. Little by little with the passing of time, her business grew and she started to also sell groceries. She sells from her home, where she has set up tables and shelves to display her products. She says that the key to a grocery store is to have it very well stocked so that customers can find what they are looking for and will return to her store to make purchases.

Domitila needs this loan to purchase rice, beans, oil, soft drinks, cookies, sweets, ham, toilet paper, canned goods, eggs, toothpaste, salt, and sugar to restock her store.

She hopes that this investment in her business will help it prosper and she will get more customers, which will increase her earnings. She wants to build a small store and continue to do construction on her house.
