A loan of $750 helped to hire workers for removing weeds.

Josefina's story

Josefina is 30 years old and lives with Jose, age 33. They have two children. Josefina and her family live in their own home in the District of Pichari. She remembers the afternoons in her youth when she watched her parents cultivate their farm land. Now she engages in the same activity. Josefina currently grows cacao and utilizes all of the techniques she learned from her parents. With the help from her children and husband, she is able to obtain a better harvest each season. In the future, Josefina plans to open a grocery store because her neighborhood does not have one. Starting this new business will give her a great advantage.

This is her second loan with MFP. Josefina recommits to being prompt with her payments. The loan of 2000 PEN that she requested will be used to hire workers to help with removing weeds from her cacao fields.
