A loan of $750 helped to buy material so that she can continue to work making garments.

Helayne Gherthy's story

Helayne, 39, lives with her husband and children in her own home, which has all of the basic utilities and is located in Chiclayo province. This area is known for its trade and tourism.

Helayne has had a business making garments and providing dressmaking services for a number of years. Her business is in her home. She has her own customers and also does work on the basis of advance orders. There is not a lot of competition in this line of work, so with the income she earns she is able to meet her family's needs.

She has requested a loan from Edpyme Alternativa through Capital Semilla for 2,000 Peruvian soles to buy material, so that she can continue to provide good service and complete all of the orders that she has. This will allow her to have better earnings so that she can improve her family's quality of life. Helayne knows that with a lot of effort and hard work she can succeed with her business and provide more opportunities for her family.
