A loan of $600 helped to buy animals and supplies for farming and livestock business.

Aida Janneth's story

Aida Janneth, 19, is single and lives with her parents in Guaranda, a canton in Bolivar province.

The PATRON SAN JUAN community bank is in San Juan, a rural community in Guaranda. The bank's members make their living from farming and raising livestock.

Aida Janneth grows crops on land owned by her parents and raises livestock for sale. She buys and sells what she needs in the city of Guaranda. She is applying for a loan to buy compost, seeds and animals so that she can expand her business.

The loan will meet her immediate requirements and leave her something extra, as well. She wants to increase her production, buy land of her own and continue studying.

She likes the celebrations for Patron San Juan and everyday pleasures like seeing her friends.
