A loan of $500 helped to buy avocado plants, bags and fertilizer.

Leoba's story

Leoba is 46 and studied up to the 5th grade. She is a widow and has 7 children, who are now adults. She lives in a lush, fertile region wherer trees such as avocado, peach and others grow well. She sells avocado plants in public plazas, and now seeks this credit to buy avocado plants, bags and fertilizer to support her business. Leoba started this business with her son two years ago. Her sales allow her to meet household expenses and also cover school fees. She is well known in the community, and transports her plants in a pick up to public squares where her clientele buy her small trees for their home gardens. She is confident that this loan will result in increased profits, return investment and a growing business. Leoba thanks Kiva and Fundación Realidad for assisting borrowers in achieving success in their businesses.
