Jennifer's story

Jennifer is 42 years old and lives in the town of Bugembe in the Jinja region of Uganda. She is married and has five children. Two of her children are currently in school. Jennifer has a business selling clothes, which she has had for 10 years.

To help expand her business, Jennifer has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase clothes for resale. With the help of the loan from BRAC, Jennifer hopes to generate greater profits and pay school fees for her children. In the future, Jennifer hopes to expand her business. Jennifer is a member of BRAC’s small enterprise (SEP) program, which has helped her prospects for the future by improving her business.
