A loan of $3,150 helped a member to buy fabric and thread.

Trabajando En Armonia Group's story

Luisa took classes in the making of footwear, leather products and clothes and this enabled her to start her own business. At first, she worked for others, but then she realized that if she made and sold the items herself, she would have more income. What she sells most are cotton polos and athletic wear. She sells them in local markets and during festivals or fairs. With her job, she can help settle the expenses of her children, since she is a single mother. This loan will allow her to increase her supplies like cotton fabric and thread. Her brother supports her in her work and later wants to formalize the business and convert it in a stable business that can provide jobs to others. She belongs to the group “TRABAJANDO EN ARMONIA" (Working in Harmony). She became part of the group almost one year agao and wants to continue because she has found a lot of support for her progress. Luisa is the fourth from the left wearing the blue jacket with white stripes.
