A loan of $750 helped to pay for maintenance of his motorcycle taxi.

Santos's story

Santos is 44 years old and lives in his own home with his family. The only service he receives is electricity. Santos resides in the urban section of the District of Olmos, which is part of the Department of Lambayeque. The residents of this district engage in agriculture and livestock breeding.

For the past six years, Santos has been providing public transportation services using his motorcycle taxi (a vehicle that is used for traveling short distances and has a maximum occupancy of three people). He works every day until 6pm. With the income he generates, Santos is able to cover his expenses and his family’s needs.

Santos is requesting a loan from Edpyme Alternativa in the amount of 2000 PEN through its Seed Capital Program. The money will be used to pay for maintenance of his motorcycle taxi which is experiencing some mechanical failures. Santos needs for his vehicle to be in good condition so that he can provide excellent service to his customers and increase his earnings.

He is a father who is able to gradually move his family forward with the intention of providing his children a better future.
