A loan of $550 helped to buy chickens and cattle feed.

Maria Rogelia's story

María is 40 years old and lives with her husband in their own home. They receive services, such as running water and electricity. María resides in the rural section of the District of Túcume, which is part of the Department of Lambayeque. This area has developed businesses involving agriculture, livestock breeding, and tourism (there are several beautiful archaeological sites that people can visit).

María has been raising and selling cattle for a few years. She has a corral that is located in an area outsiD. of her house. The animals are fed a diet of balanced feed and natural grasses so that they will produce a good amount of milk, which is offered to the local residents or taken to the market in Lambayeque to sell. María has an established customer base that is of good quality because of the milk she offers. With the income, she is able to meet her household obligations.

María is requesting a loan from Edpyme Alternativa in the amount of 1500 PEN through its Seed Capital Program. The money will be used to buy animals of other species (specifically chickens) and the respective feed for her cows in order to increase milk production. This will allow María to obtain the best price for her products so that she can repay the loan and improve her standard of living.

María is a hardworking and responsible person. The only thing she wants is to see her business grow so that she can acquire more household comforts for herself and her husband.
