A loan of $875 helped to buy food to sell from his cart and to make repairs to his house.

Arturo David's story

Arturo is a 36-year-old gentleman who was born in El Empalme parish, which is located in the coastal region of Ecuador. He currently lives in Río Verde parish in the province of Santo Domingo de Los Tsáchilas with his wife Lourdes and their three children (ages 9, 7, and 5). His youngest child suffers from a congenital disease that prevented his organs from developing properly. This situation has taken its toll on the entire family, both financially and emotionally.

Three years ago, Arturo started a business selling food. He has his own cart that he parks along a popular street in the neighborhood where he sells his products. Arturo sells fish fritters, fried pastries, and ripe plantains with cheese. All of these are traditional snacks of the region. Arturo learned this trade from his mother, who also engaged in the same line of work.

He hopes to make repairs to his house and buy food to sell from his cart. For this reason, he is requesting a loan Fundación Alternativa in order to improve his life. Arturo works 10 hours a day so that he can provide for the welfare of his family, but his greatest wish is to see his young son cured.
