A loan of $650 helped to buy raw materials, glass and metal.

Darwin Javier's story

Darwin is a 27-year-old man. He lives with his wife María Fernanda who is also 27, with whom he has a newborn baby of one month. They live in Santo Domingo in the Río Verde parish of Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas, a densely-populated province located the southern part of Ecuador. Its climate is hot and so fruit orchards are one of the primary economic activities.

Six years ago Darwin began his business selling custom-cut glass for windows, after working for a private company where he learned this line of work. Today he provides work for two persons, of which he is very proud. He needs to buy some raw materials, taking advantage of a special opportunity, and so he needs a loan.

Fulfilling its mission Fundación Alternativa has helped this micro-business owner to achieve his objective and so, in this way, to increase his earnings and thus his income.

He dreams of having a large enterprise in this same line of business.
