Colibri Group's story

The Colibri group is a Communal Bank that is made up of 10 people whose names and businesses include the following:
Maria Luisa – Beverages
Irma – Perfume
Maria Adriana – Clothing
Yadira – Lingerie
Susana – Trinkets
Vianey – Pastries
Teresita – Stationery
Maria del Rocio – Beauty treatments, and
Señora Nadia who is 33 years old and studied until the sixth semester of high school. She is married and the mother of two daughters, 11 and 9 years old, who are attending elementary school. She tells us that a little over 10 years ago she became anxious to help her husband with household expenses and began to sell Tupperware and home interiors (products for the home) in order to earn a little extra money and help her husband with household expenses. She says she sells her products at her children’s school to the mothers of her daughters’ friends and to some other ladies that she knows. She adds that she makes her sales by catalog, first showing her catalog, receiving an order and then making a request and later when the products arrive delivering them and receiving payment.

She needs this loan to invest in the purchase of glasses, plates, catalogs, saucepans, Tupperware, pots, curtains and tablecloths in order to continue her sales. Doña Nadie hopes that with this investment her business will prosper so that each day she will have more customers and her business will grow and provide a better quality of life for her family.
