A loan of $600 helped to buy paint and ceramics to sell to her customers.

Adalgiza's story

Adalgiza is 50 years old. She paints pictures, makes ceramics, and sells silver jewelry to order to customers she has had for many years. She lives in the city of Cartagena and is a married mother of 2 children, aged 20 and 24. Her dream is for them to be successful. 17 years ago, with severance pay from a job she used to have in a business, she began her business activity. First she sold fish, later merchandise. Gradually she gained acceptance and built her clientele. She began to sell ceramic items. She also paints little ceramic cookies, which serve as souvenirs for first communions, children's parties, quinceañeras, graduations, and decorations. She also paints pictures. All of this activity has allowed her to develop her artistic talent and because of that she feels very happy. This is the fifth loan that Adalgiza has made with the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo. It is to buy paint and ceramics and to sell to customers via orders they make. With the previous loans, she has been able to grow her business, increase her income and also her family's wellbeing. With her new capital, she will impact new customers. This is her goal and she has a lot of good experience in it.
