Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

A loan of $900 helped to pay her son's graduation costs.

Xiomara Del Carmen's story

Xiomara, 49, is a single mother of three children but only two are still dependent on her. She has worked daily for many years as a Project Follow-up Analyst in the city of Managua.

She visits Ceprodel’s office to ask for a loan that will be used for one of her son’s graduation costs.

She has moved her family ahead and is grateful to Ceprodel for providing financing because thanks to this loan her son will be able to have his graduation.
