A loan of $750 helped to install windows and metal doors on her house.

Celia's story

Celia is a 46-year-old mother living with her children in her own house that has all basic utilities located in José Leandro Ortiz District that belongs to Chiclayo Province. This zone’s main activity is commerce, barnyard fowl raising and tourism.

Celia is a fruit and vegetable street vendor in her local market. She has 5 years’ experience so is well knows and has her own clientele. Sales have been increasing as well as her income to improve her family’s quality of life.

The loan she requested from Edpyme Alternativa through their Capital Seed program was for 2000 new soles which she’ll use to do some home improvements (like installing metal doors and windows) so that her house will be safer. Increased sales will allow her to repay the loan and meet household expenses. Celia is a person with many hopes. One of them is that she’ll be able to install a fixed sales stand in the market and have comforts at home thanks to her work and effort.
