Transito's story

Transito is 36 years old, married, and she lives with her husband and her children, aged 16, 12, 10 and 2. They live in the canton of Guaranda in the Bolivar province.

The communal bank "Alli Kausay" is located in the community of Tolapungo, in the sector of Veintimilla. It belongs to the canton of Guaranda. The members of this group are dedicated to agriculture, raising livestock, and selling cattle, vegetables and other products.

Transito sells vegetables and she is an agriculturist as well as a livestock farmer. Her husband is a construction worker. They have a greenhouse, a house of their own, and they plant corn, wheat, fava beans, potatoes and they also have a cow and a pig. She busy and sells her products in the wholesalers market in Guaranda.

She requests a loan to purchase fertilizers and products for the cultivation to increase her business. The loan will help her to meet her financial needs and to improve her agricultural activities. She is faced with the variable prices of products that she sells, as well as the sudden changes in climate that we are experiencing. Her dream is to increase her production and to provide for her children.

She enjoys parties, house work, and traveling.
