A loan of $750 helped to buy sacks of fertilizer.

Erling's story

Erling, 32, is a hard worker who lost his father eight years ago and has had to take over responsibility for the family. He lives with his mother, Dora, and his six siblings in his own house in Unión Palomar (central Peruvian forest). His main income comes as a result of Topography studies which allow him to work in the Peruvian state institutions as a teacher. But the activity he is most passionate about is "agriculture" and his seven years of experience growing coffee on 15 hectares of farm land. On weekends, with the help of his brothers, he fertilizes and cares for the land. "When I am away they help by caring for the crop.", he claims.

He is grateful for the support received from the members of the Sanchirio co-op where he sells his coffee beans. They are constantly providing training so he can grow better quality coffee. Now he wants to pay special attention to making more profit so he can help his siblings with their education, since this is their only source of income. He belongs to the communal bank "Desarrollando para el futuro de Prisma", and this is his second loan through MFP, where he is is grateful for the continued confidence shown in him. He is committed to paying back the loan on time. Erling plans to use your loan to buy several sacks of natural fertilizer to spread on the coffee crop so it can grow stronger.
