A loan of $550 helped to buy more shoes to sell.

Martha's story

Martha is 32 years old. She is married to a businessman and they have one child aged five years old whom they hope to give good education to the university level.
She runs a shoe sales business at Gikomba in Nairobi. She has been in this business for eleven years now and she says her major challenge is financial constraints. She is using her loan of KES 50,000 to buy more shoes to sell to the local people. She hopes to grow her business and start importing shoes for selling from abroad. She also plans to buy a plot of land where she will build her residential home in future. She describes herself as honest and committed to her work.
